In spring there are flowers. In Texas spring, there are BLUEBONNETS. And taking family photos amongst the state flowers isn’t just an annual tradition, it’s an institution. I launched my business with Bluebonnet Minis and found some of my favorite and most loyal clients this way. So this year when my second-born decided to make her debut at the start of bluebonnet season, I realized I would have to refer my clients to other trusted photographers and beg that they come back to me next year!Read More
When Meröe called me about doing a session at a location that is special to her family, my heart warmed. These were going to be their first family photos since Baby S made her debut three months ago.Read More

I am so thrilled to be launching Elephant June Photography this spring of 2018, just as our beautiful Texas bluebonnets are set to bloom. My family photography business is 20 years in the making, three years in the works, and six months in motion.
My journey into photography began in that quiet high school school darkroom, where I spent hours developing images of football games and theater productions for the yearbook. A career in marketing and television production gave me the business and practical skills to accompany my craft. But it wasn't until my daughter was born in 2015 that my love for photography turned into passion. As any modern parent will do, I take daily photos of Hazel's adventures. A year of firsts turned into subsequent years of tradition. These days it's bike rides, hikes, muddy puddles and a new big girl bed. Tomorrow it will be recitals, games and best friends. And then just like that she'll be ready for senior photos and her first dorm room snapshot. The challenge to preserve it all, to capture every memory is an earnest one.
Parents can all relate to the sentiment, "the days are long but the years are short." We only have our children in our homes for 18 short years before they're deemed ready to go out into the world to make their own way. We all strive to give our kids the very best and in turn we hope for a family story of shared meals, game nights, sunny vacations, and inside jokes.
Imagine capturing those delicious, sticky memories in images that will last for generations. This is the importance—the enormity—of your family photographs.
Thank you for joining me on this journey to help create and preserve family memories. It's my honor to serve you!
